Why Choose Women’s Health Associates?
February 14, 2017
Women in the Kansas City area have plenty of healthcare practitioners to choose from when it comes to women’s healthcare needs. So, how do you choose the one that has your best interests at heart?
Our completely biased opinion is that you should add Women’s Healthcare Associates (WHA) to the top of your list. Schedule a consultation with us to take a look around, meet our team and get a feel for what it is we do here. We believe it’s essential that women feel completely comfortable with their OB, GYNs and/or midwives, and we hope that’s how you’ll feel when you meet us.
Women’s Health Associates Celebrates Quality Healthcare, Service & Education
Our healthcare team is comprised completely of women and for women. Our empowered and compassionate healthcare team is devoted to taking care of other women in all aspects of their reproductive care and their overall well-being – from adolescence, through the childbearing years, and then into and beyond menopause.
We believe that by focusing on women’s health through high-quality service – and providing women with the information they need to make informed decisions – our neck of the woods is a better place to be.
First and foremost, our team is dedicated to providing quality healthcare. When you visit the WHA, you don’t get the cursory once-over and a rushed appointment. Rather, you’ll spend time checking in with our friendly office staff and from there you’ll receive attentive attention from our well-rounded staff of physicians, nurse practitioners and/or midwives – depending on your preferences or the reason for your office visit that day.
Preventative care is a cornerstone of quality care because it addresses whole-body health, preventing or catching potential health issues before they start. This is why we recommend visiting your OB/GYN or midwife at least once a year, and that you observe their recommendations for routine pelvic exams, pap smears and other screenings that are personalized to your age, medical history and lifestyle.
In addition to general women’s healthcare, we also offer well-rounded pre-natal, pregnancy and post-partum care so you can enjoy a healthy and stress-free pregnancy, as well as a successful childbirth and delivery. Of course, we’re also staunch supporters of breastfeeding and will provide any level of support you need.
Down the road, we’ll be there to facilitate the journey as you make your way through peri-menopause and menopause and we’ll ease you through any hiccups that may occur along the way. If you are approaching or experiencing menopause, or have uncomfortable vaginal symptoms as the result of menopause, please ask us about MonaLisa Touch.
Our focus is on lifetime wellness, and we make it a point to provide quality, personalized care as your body’s needs change along the way.
Compassionate and personalized service
The services we provide or recommend are always offered with particular attention to your body’s needs, as well as what we feel will support your heart and soul.

Education is empowerment
Once female reproductive and menopausal care was removed from women’s circles and into the medical arena, women were often kept in a shroud of mystery when it came to anything pertaining to their own bodies and reproductive health. This leads to confusion, miscommunication and disconnection from one’s own body.
At WHA, we know that accurate information, education about treatment options and a well-rounded understanding of your body is the key to feeling empowered and able to make the right decisions for yourself and your future.
We view each and every appointment with our patients as an opportunity to share the information we have so they can grow into a deeper appreciation, respect and understanding of their body and its amazing abilities and processes.
Our health associates are highly educated, trained and especially chosen – quite frankly – because of their awesome talents and personalities. We can’t wait to share who we are with you, and we look forward to celebrating your own special spark.
